Conference procedures are somewhat complex and take time – which is why today’s post will be late. The compositing meeting for the green new deal motion will go on quite late tonight. Our motion on tidal power is nicely focussed, so I have high hopes that I can keep it in. When I spoke briefly on it there was a lot of support for it.
Meanwhile, the conference floor was quite good today, especially Jennie Formby’s and Dawn Butler’s addresses. Rule change proposals brought forth interesting speakers and discussions. We voted on these at the end of the session.
I must get back to the heated discussions around me. People seem to be arguing about which composite to use as a starting point for discussion — 90 minutes into the meeting.
Here’s a snapshot I took this morning before the madness began. Best wishes, Catherine
